Out to town

This heading means something different to everybody. Some people go to town in sneakers, others in high heels. I am exactly the type of person who fits into both categories. It all depends on my mood, season, and weather. The older I get, the more I tend to pick decent, elegant outfits in which I feel most like myself. For me, the basic wardrobe essentials include blue high-waist jeans and black color garments. Most of my day-to-day outfits combine these two colors with whites and greys. I am a cold, winter type, so these colors suit me best and make me feel the most comfortable. I must admit that colors play an important role in my life. It might be due to the fact that I study Visual Arts, but ever since I was a child, I felt like I was strongly influenced by them.

“This article gives a true picture of myself. The photos were not staged and show exactly what I wear and what I’m like.”

The handbag I chose for this photoshoot is one of my most favorite handbags. The cut was created a few years ago, just two days before my departure to the USA, when I realized I did not have a presentable, stylish bag for roaming around my beloved city of New York. Since I had a clear image of what I wanted it to be like, it did not take long to create. I knew I wanted western tassels, a comfortable size and the possibility of carrying it in one hand or as a crossbody. The version I had back then was very colorful, since it was made for the summer, and I also wore a lot more colors than nowadays. I still wear it to enliven my outfits, but I recently fell in love with this new black version. It is a classic piece with unique details that will certainly catch your eye, but it remains wearable with almost anything. It goes well with casual and elegant outfits alike.

I ♥ New York is the golden mean. Wear it when you don’t want to stand out from the crowd, but have a trendy outfit at the same time.

My tips:

  • Wear colors that you like and that make you feel comfortable
  • Do not combine too many colors in one outfit
  • Most importantly, be yourself
